Harcourts Challenge Youth Award
Graeme Smith and Sue Jamieson from Whangamata Arts Collective came to the WAS school assembly on Friday 17th to present the prizes to the winning students of the Harcourts Youth Award held at BADO at Anniversary weekend. Graeme, the chairperson of the Art's Collective spoke about the high standard of the students' artworks, which seem to be getting better and better each year.
The winner was Kanon Hirose (not shown as she is an international student). 2nd place -Bridie Pugh, 3rd place - Bridie Hamilton and 4th - Olivia Cooney.
