Hi Folks,
Date of next event: Local Arts Strategy Workshop

1pm Wednesday July 1st 2015 ~ Whangamata Club in the newly refurbished upstairs room
  • A workshop led by Paul Bradley of Creative Waikato to help identify assets we have in our community, the people and the spaces/places.
  • Identify short term goals
  • Identify longterm goals
  • Brain storm an identity - name/title/brand for the collective of local arts groups to form the basis of a Whangamata Arts Festival. Initially aiming to contribute to the Run Walk Festival Weekend 11th/12th/13th Sept 2015:

I’m hoping the Info Plus and Coastal News will be able to help us with publicising the workshop event.
Give me a day or two and we will have some flyers to hand out & display, pop into the gallery to get yours.

Please do spread the word, invite and encourage other interested parties to come and give us some input.
Especially Theatre group, musicians, writers and anybody else you can think of . . ..

Lets see if we can make Arts Festivals happen here and grow the arts scene in our neighbourhood.

Cheers
